Very nice watch

I ordered this watch from Amazon and it arrived before the estimated delivery date. I love the watch and it looks much better in person than in pictures on the web. Quality is very good and the hands line up perfectly. The luminova is evenly applied and lasts longer actually all the way through the night which I didn't think would be the case. The only feature I don't like is the canvas band which I found uncomfortable. I'm sure it's fine for others but still a black leather band for less than (...)(any jewelry store or online store) compliments the watch very well and it no longer looks like a 'weekend watch'. One small point about the Eco-drive that some other reviews I've read overlooked: Citizen Eco-drive models DO have a battery. The solar cell stores energy in a rechargeable mangenese-titanium battery. The battery should last a very long time according to Citizen engineers who project that even after 20 years the battery should retain 80% of recharge capacity (on their website) but only time will tell... no pun intended. Speaking of time the watch is pretty accurate. I've had the watch for one month and during that time it has lost less than one second when compared to the US national time (www.nist.gov). In sum: this is a very well constructed watch that I feel is worth the money.More detail ...

Basic and perfect

This is the perfect watch for you if you are on a budget. I like it though I'm more into the flash of the Casio MQ241E. The upshot is that this is a watch for the people. There's no flash no digital no leather band nothing but a simple watch. For the price you honestly cannot beat it. The only way it could get better is if either someone gave you the watch as a gift or you won it in the "claw of luck" game in the supermarket entryway. Outstanding Looks Great Timepiece

I considered this purchase from the viewpoint of an already satisfied Eco-Drive owner. My original Citizen features a titanium case and strap and is great for business attire. But I wanted a less formal watch for casual wear. This watch caught my eye and it was love at first sight. The watch arrived after about five days as advertised. Upon opening the box I was taken aback by the size. This is a large-face watch and I was expecting something about the size of my titanium case. I was considering returning it then decided to give it a try and sell it on eBay if I didn't like it. As it turns out I got used to it after a couple of days. The canvas strap became a little more pliable which helped the watch stay in place better on my wrist and the discomfort of the band disappeared. Now I can focus on enjoying the big face and oversized luminous digits which glow extraordinarily bright when exposed to a light source at night. Like my original Eco-Drive this watch keeps excellent time. So far I have not detected a single second's variance between checks and settings. If you order this watch keep in mind that the face is larger than most and that you'll have to be patient while the canvas strap gets pliable.More detail ...

Versatile

I've had my watch for about a month and I love it so far. It did great in deep waters a few weeks ago while I was free diving in the Bahamas. The only downfall is you're not suppose to push any buttons under the water. The color of the watch is a pastel purple/blue. This watch is the best watch. I use it all the time. It is great because since it has an elastic band it doesnt make my wrist itch. Also it has a good Indiglo light so I can see the time in the dark. It has an easy to read LCD display too. I recommend this watch to anybody.More detail ...

Not worth it

Had this strap for a year and without all that much rough wear it broke in two places. First the small piece/loop that is intended to hold the "extra" strap to the band tore off. I kept wearing it using a doubled-over loop of duct tape to keep the strap tame but before long the entire strap tore at one of the holes in the band. Not to mention it didn't stay orange for very long since the orange just collects dirt and turns much of it black/brown after a few months. Unless you're intending to only wear your Core around the house and never actually use it for what it's intended for get a more durable strap. Great band!

This is a great band and a great price. The only disappointment is that it DOES NOT come with the pins that you need to attach them. You will have to remove them from an old band. So...if you don't have the pins from an old band don't buy this. If you do it's totally worth the price.More detail ...

You can't swim with this watch

This watch is great looking but unfortunately you can't swim with it. It claims it's water resistant to 300 feet but after one lap in the pool water had collected under the face of the watch. Amazon was terrific about returning it though.More detail ...

Great simple watch

I bought one of these a couple years ago in Singapore. I love it. It is my staple everyday watch. They are tough and withstand a fair bit of abuse. I wore mine while training and flying aerobatics up to 6Gs. Still works. The movement does tend to be fast some say by 5 to 15 sec per day. My experience is that I notice it is running fast by a few minutes every little while and then I correct it. Not an issue especially since it is an automatic watch. If I go more than a day without wearing or shaking it it stops anyway so who needs longterm accuracy?

Just right watch for me

The Seiko Women's leather strap watch is just right for me. It has an easy to read dial is not too big or heavy and looks good. It would look appropriate with clothes that are casual business or a little dressy. I've been enjoying it for about a month now. One reason I purchased this watch from Amazon was for a $50 credit I was offered by email if I purchased a Seiko. Handsome watch

I bought this watch as a birthday gift for my dad and he really likes it. The style is classic and works well as a casual/dress watch that is a little bit unique. One of the features he liked were that it had all twelve Roman numerals which makes it easier to tell the time with a quick glance especially since his eyesight isn't what it used to be. The watch face is a nice size larger than some of the small dress watches but smaller and less bulky than the sports watches. The brown leather band is sturdy without being too thick and bulky and it has a tortoise shell-type pattern so it has some style to it. There is a second hand in the round inset but it doesn't have the date and a lot of the other insets other watches have which clutter up the face and require you to adjust the watch for the correct date at the end of the month. What we liked most about it is the unique shape and the lines on the face. All in all it's a handsome watch with Seiko quality.More detail ...

I'll never go blind trying to figure out what time it is!!!

I recently purchased this watch from Amazon. The case diameter is 46mm and 14mm thick so it is a relatively large watch but I think the good part about this is that it is really easy to see what time it is. At night the numbers and dials glow bright blue.



It is replacing an automatic and a quartz as the everyday watch. I have to say that the eco-drive concept is a very good one. I like the idea of not having to replace another battery on my Skagen and DO NOT want to buy an auto-winder for my Hamilton. As long as it gets bright light through out the day then the battery recharges and is good for days if not months or more. Notice I said bright light and not just sunlight.



It does not have a locking crown so it is water resistant and NOT waterproof... The band is canvas and looks (and feels) sturdy. For $130 how can you possibly go wrong?! I'd recommend it. More detail ...
